Matt Bartlett has been a great Realtor in so many ways. We met when I went to his office to get some documents notarized about one year ago. I had sold my old home of many years to move closer to family in Glendora. Matt asked what I was looking for and on the spot we made up a short list of requirements I had in mind. It was nearly 9 months before I was prepared to start searching and Matt stayed in touch about once a month with a brief phone call.
When I was ready for the big search, we refined my first list and Matt sent me several prospective properties once a week and looked up information on properties I found while traveling in the area. I also checked properties online and called him to set up a showing on several homes.
In spite of the COVID restrictions, we had fun visiting homes for sale and Matt pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of each property according to my wish list. It was helpful to have someone to discuss ideas for fixing or working around problem areas at various locations. I made offers on two homes but was outbid before finding the one place that would become my new home.
Matt showed such professionalism while checking the home for needed repairs – he called in inspectors, at my request, to check the plumbing, electrical, heating and sewer systems. Their fees were reasonable and all made complete reports which were e-mailed to me for future reference for updates and repairs. He also made his own realtor’s inspection so there would be no surprises once I owned the home.
Escrow closed while I was out of state and again, Matt helped by offering to check on the house until my return. He collected the mail, hand watered some yard areas and drove by on a regular basis. It was a relief knowing the house was being watched. Being a friendly person, he also introduced himself to a neighbor as an extra precaution to keep the house monitored. All was safe and in good condition when I returned.
Matt also purchased a one year Home Warranty for the AC and appliances to help insure that my offer to purchase was accepted. One final perk was to get all the escrow papers on a memory stick. Easy to file and keep in order for future reference! Matt delivered outstanding service – I highly recommend him for your real estate needs.
